CBTL's Cookies & Cream Ice Blended Open House

It's time for another open house from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.   We've been a fan of CBTL ever since.  In fact, I'm so glad they are having more branches.

I am so delighted when I saw their new flavor, Cookies and Cream Ice Blended!  Being an Oreo lover, how could I pass this up?  I've previously shared with you how I loved CBTL's Espresso & Cream (see separate entry)  Let's see which I will like more.=)

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf CBTL's New Single Serve Beverage System

I recently wrote about FREE CBTL cup of hot coffee or tea (see separate entry).  So I printed my coupon and presented it to CBTL Fort Bonifacio Branch.

I ordered the English Passion hot tea.  Once I surrendered my coupon, I was told to wait a few minutes.  Once my name was called, I was instructed on how to use their new "CBTL Single Serve Beverage System".  

The steps were simple.  There were three buttons.  The top is for espresso, the next is for latte and the third is for hot tea.

I dropped my capsule, pressed the hot tea button and after a few seconds the cup was filling until it was full.  The server took the cup placed the lid and handed it to me.  I took my first sip and was amazed at how much it tasted like the England Passion I once tasted before.  I opened the lid and saw the same tea leaf bits as I noticed in my previous CBTL teas.  Pretty neat huh?

Each machine cost 13,750 php.  We were told that they will soon offer it on installment basis.  We checked the capsules cost 400 php per box.

If you are too lazy to go out and want quality coffee or tea.  Well, this is a good and affordable option.   This product is very tempting indeed.

CBTL's Espresso & Cream Ice Blended ~ My Kind of Coffee!

A few days ago, I wrote about CBTL's Espresso & Cream Ice Blended Open House (see separate entry).  The promo was from 10 a.m to 12 n.n.  We arrived at CBTL Robinsons Place at around 11:50 a.m.  There is a poster of the CBTL's Espresso & Cream Ice Blended Open House outside and beside the counter.  

There were no lines when we came in.  (Unlike the last month's blockbuster line during the 50% Starbucks promo which we gave up on=p) The cashier asked us for our order and then I told her we were for the open house.  She asked how many and if we'd like it with whip cream or coffee jelly (add 30 php).  I said with whip cream only.  With all smiles, she asked for my name and issued our receipt.  I actually thought that there is a charge for the whip cream but it turns out its free too.=)

We sat while waiting for our order.  We noticed that despite having an open house and FREE coffee, there were many vacant tables.  I browsed the crowd and only found a few availing it.  There were empty ones left at vacant tables.

After around 5 minutes, my name was called and we got our order and left.  I noticed that people may differ in the way they enjoy their ice coffee with whipped cream.  For me, I sip the coffee first before mixing it with whip cream to appreciate its full flavor.  

While sipping, I had a random thought.  Cold drinks are more difficult to formulate than hot drinks because if its hot, the drinker can just add more cream or sugar as much as he pleases.  But with cold drink, you can't adjust it once it has been served.  With each person, having their own taste preferences, it may not please everybody.

This coffee with or without whipped cream is my type of coffee!  This is what I expect from an espresso.  The coffee is aromatic, thick and strong.  One sip will bring you bitter sweet goodness that lingers for a few minutes.   My family and Kurt loved it too!  Do you love this coffee too?

I love CBTL's hot drinks especially their teas.  They have a wide variety of them.  Now I have something to order cold too.  They also offer good incentives for CBTL Swirl Rewards Card Holders.  Aside from the points you earn which can be used for purchase you can also use their WiFi for FREE.  It's also an ideal hang out because seats are often available.  How about you have you tried CBTL?  Share us your experience.=)

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf CBTL Espresso & Cream Ice Blended Open House

We have always enjoyed Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.  We love their tea and coffee and we even purchase our coffee beans there.  (Although we haven't recently because my moms friend gave us tons of Hawaii Coffee...)

Great news for CBTL fans like us!  We always drop by CBTL whenever they have a open house.  Remember my last post about the CBTL's Frozel Swirl Open House (see separate entry) last year?  It's an event you don't want to miss.  The staffs are friendly and hospitable despite them serving for FREE.  

Let's join CBTL's Espresso & Cream Ice Blended Open House on Sunday, May 29, 10am-12nn and enjoy a complimentary 12oz. beverage!  It is applicable for all Branches except DLSU Cybernook, University Mall - Taft Avenue, and Ayala Avenue Convergys.  Too bad those branches never participate=( I often frequent there.  We'll probably drop by Robinson's Place or MOA. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Frozen Swirl Open House

Although I'm used to waking up late due to night law and MBA classes, I specially woke up early just to make it in time for "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Frozen Swirl Open House" at Robinson's Midtown. As a fan of Fro- Yos, I surely can't let this pass. I always claim open house at Robinson's Midtown since the DLSU Library Branch where I frequent does not participate in open houses.  Also the crew at Robinson's Midtown branch are very friendly and accomodating. They even exert the extra effort to inform every customer that they have an open house so they could avail of it.  Unlike the Ayala Town Center Branch where a couple of my friends visited last open house and they where told that it was already out of stock even though only an hour has passed after the mentioned starting time.

I, my sister and my boyfriend didn't know what else would go well with our Frozen Swirls so we just ordered those and nothing else. (with a receipt issued for an amount of 0.00) I ordered Matcha Green Tea while my companions ordered Affogato and Caramel Affogato.

My Matcha Green Tea Frozen swirl was made to look like an inward swirl. It tasted similar to Green Tea ice creams. It perfectly hid the sour taste of the yogurt. Every spoonful was a taste of cool flavorful green tea.

The Afforgato was plain frozen swirl topped with coffee similar to the way chocolate syrups are topped in ice cream. Every spoonful was sensational as you can feel the icy crisp of coffee and the tingly tangy taste of yogurt combined. My boyfriend ate every spoon with delight until only the concentrated coffee was left at the bottom of the cup. The Caramel Affogato was similar to the Affogato but with an additional caramel syrup for additional sweetness.

My mom and my other siblings came to fetch us. We got my mom her favorite Biscotti and a Classic Vanilla Frozen Swirl. It was a plain frozen yogurt that was made to taste like vanilla ice cream. For the rest we ordered Lemoncello, Berry'd Treasure and Pomegrate Frozen Swirls.

The Lemoncello was a combination of sour Lemonaide and plain yogurt. The sourness of the Lemonaide overpowers the tangy taste of the yogurt. It tasted similar to a lemon sherbet.

The Berry'd Treasure was a perfect mixture of blueberries and more. It tasted berrylicious. I could taste the hint of blueberry the most.

The Pomegrate was lightly sweetened and a bit tangy. It was naturally refreshing.

Compared to the other brands I've tried such as Red Mango, Califronia Berry, White Hat, White Berry, Fro-Yo, "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Frozen Swirl" is a bit pricey but they compensate this by offering unique flavors from the rest.
