Impala Syndrome – Impala Syndrome (1969 venezuela psychedelic sung in English - MP3 320K and FLAC)

Originally from Venezuela, where they were known as Los Impala, this group relocated to Madrid, Spain in 1965.

After a few months, their singer Henry Stephens left to pursue a solo career, recording an EP as Lord Henry Con Los Impala.

After a few years the band moved to Chicago, releasing their Impala Syndrome album which is well worth checking out.

An effective blend of melodic, laid back songs (Love Grows A Flower, Land Of No Time and the superb Eastern-influenced finale, Run (Don't Look Behind)) combined with fuzz guitar numbers like Too Much Time and Let Them Try.

New Love Time is also rather catchy but Leave, Eve sounds unashamedly like The Rascals' Its Wonderful.

The band recorded other EPs and 45s as Los Impala, not shown in the above discography ( (Vernon Joynson / Clark Faville / Marcelo Lilienheim / Maria Grossi).

Uma das bandas pionoeiras do rock venezuelano, originalmente formada em 1958 como “Los Impala” , lançou um total de 11 discos entre 1964 e 1969 e tres EPs.

Na Venezuela lançaram os albums “Conozca a Los Impala” (1963), “Los Impala” (1964), “Nuevamente Los Impala” (1965), “Los Impala ´66“ (1966), “Los Impala y su Música” (1966).

Nesta fase predomina a regravação de classicos dos Beatles, Manfred Mann, Joe Tex e James Brown e mais algumas canções proprias.

Ao final de 1996 viajam para Espanhã e fazem grande sucesso. Lançam então “Los Impala en Europa” (1967), “Estos son Los Impala” (1968) e finalmente o album “Impala Syndrome” (1969).

Gravado na cidade de Chicago nos Estados Unidos, tem uma sonoridade totalmente psicodelica com excelentes vocais cantados em Ingles.

Seu estilo é uma derivação de vários elementos utilizados por bandas Inglesas e Americanas da época e existe uma notável influencia da banda “Cream” em varias linhas do baixo, vocal e bateria.

Não deixe de conhecer esta interessante e rara banda de psicodelia latino-americana.
